"Oh, how we danced on the night we were wed
We vowed our true love though a word wasn't said
The world was in bloom, there were stars in the skies
Except for the few that were there in your eyes.
The night seemed to fade into blossoming dawn
The sun shone anew but the dance lingered on
Could we but relive that sweet moment sublime
We'd find that our love is unaltered by time."
- lyrics to "The Anniversary Waltz," composed by Dubin/Frankl
Strike an average between what a woman thinks of her husband a month before she marries him and what she thinks of him a year afterward, and you will have the truth about him. ~H.L. Mencken, A Book of Burlesques, 1916
The bonds of matrimony are like any other bonds - they mature slowly. ~Peter De Vries
Amid all this hectic, crazy (mis)adventure what’s extremely difficult is to maintain ones cool. There are ten different people advising you and some telling you what needs to be done. Worse is when they expect you to 'do as advised' and want their own way through. I feel like a punching bag where everyone from both parties pouncing on me and expect me to smile and say " My pleasure". Seriously! Since past so many days i am picking up arguments left right center and am seeing my self being trodden over like a doormat. Nobody listens to me and my opinions is never considered. A game we used to play as children comes to my mind, where each player had to hid the center top with ones top point and make it fling. I feel like the center top! What the bloddy heck. On second thoughts ....i should'nt be having second thoughts though still i wish i could skip this rigmarole and simply be at peace instead of these pieces.
Well... Que sera sera.....how can i survive the remaining 4 days is to be seen.
