Are you the one

Are you the one
who will hold my hand
who will be my lodestar
on the land
when all the lights have gone.

Are you the one
who will stand by me
through thick and thin
putting smiles and making things
painting rainbows in the sky
wiping tear-drops when I cry
sticking together like permanent glue
being oh-so true.

You must be the one
else i would never feel this way
when i loose myself in
your enchanting words, arms or eyes
your body's warmth
lighting up the fire of my desire
making hours whiz past
like seconds as time flies

Are you the one
whom I can really call my own
triumphantly feeling
that life’s battle
I have won.

Great Expectations

"What are your expectations?" I asked her. "I don’t know" she replied. Two days later after exchanging fifty first messages we met. Later that day i begun to think what mine were.

This is nothing that i can exchange or throw away if i don’t like. I was in a dilemma. Humans have a free will which sometimes is a obstacle to reality. I have looked high and low for past 3 years by which time i had my expectations refined and clear. However when the moment of truth came, everything happened as willed by God. To make short of a long tale, i will just say that i prayed and my supplications were heard! That's how i know this is from Above due to which me having second thoughts doesn’t hold water.  He knows my future hence He knows what’s the best for me and i want His will to be fulfilled in my life. Therefore i Bow down to his will though the world may call be a fool. Jesus give me whatever i need to be what it takes to be the best. My expectations go out of the window!

I don't know about tomorrow;
I just live from day to day.
I don't borrow from it's sunshine
For it's skies may turn to grey.
I don't worry o'er the future,
For I know what Jesus said.
And today I'll walk beside Him,
For He knows what is ahead.

Many things about tomorrow
I don't seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.

Every step is getting brighter
As the golden stairs I climb;
Every burden's getting lighter,
Every cloud is silver-lined.
There the sun is always shining,
There no tear will dim the eye;
At the ending of the rainbow
Where the mountains touch the sky.

I don't know about tomorrow;
It may bring me poverty.
But the one who feeds the sparrow,
Is the one who stands by me.
And the path that is my portion
May be through the flame or flood;
But His presence goes before me
And I'm covered with His blood.
